The City of Centennial is Colorado's newest city, located in the southern Denver metropolitan area, entirely within Arapahoe County. Centennial officially became a city on February of 2001. It is the seventh-largest city in the Denver-Aurora Metropolitan Area. Centennial's climate is mild and dry, with more than 300 days of sunshine a year.
